Exactly six months after the introduction of the GDPR, TÜV Trust IT launched the TÜV certificate “Certified Data Protection Management System” as the first certification in the GDPR field. The processes for implementing data protection requirements in companies to fulfill accountability obligations are examined and audited. The certification audit, conducted by TÜV Trust IT’s data protection specialists, serves to determine the operational effectiveness of the data protection management system. Initial projects are already underway.
