The patient app “KOS | ME” continues to meet all requirements for data protection and information security in the current audit – and does so at a consistently high level.
POTTHOFF + PARTNER is an experienced IT service provider in the healthcare sector, active throughout the DACH region. The company not only develops customized software solutions for hospitals but also offers services in organizational planning and training. With the digital patient portal “KOS | ME,” POTTHOFF + PARTNER complements its hospital software KOS with a solution that actively involves patients in treatment processes – from arrival to stay to aftercare. The app is now in use in more than 170 hospitals.
“KOS | ME” once again impresses with strong security architecture
In 2025, POTTHOFF + PARTNER continues to rely on verified security and has once again had its patient portal “KOS | ME” certified by us. The application underwent a comprehensive re-certification according to our established Trusted App Standard – and once again delivered convincing results across the board.
The audit focused not only on the architecture of the Progressive Web App (PWA) but also on the native mobile applications. Key evaluation criteria included the protection of sensitive data, session management, the use of modern encryption techniques, and securing data traffic at the application level.
A particularly positive aspect was once again the app’s approach beyond traditional protective measures: The combination of additional encryption and the deliberate decision to store session information locally in the browser significantly contributes to the high level of security.
