To enhance the protection of Critical Infrastructures (KRITIS) in Germany, the federal government has decided to introduce the IT Security Act (IT-SiG). The binding IT Security Catalog (IT-SiKat) of the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) for electricity and gas network operators has also come into force.
