Information Security according to the Energy Industry Act (EnWG)

To enhance the protection of Critical Infrastructures (KRITIS) in Germany, the federal government has decided to introduce the IT Security Act (IT-SiG). The binding IT Security Catalog (IT-SiKat) of the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) for electricity and gas network operators has also come into force. For many energy suppliers, complying with these laws is still a major challenge, especially in view of the existing deadlines.
