TÜV TRUST IT at the autumn meeting of the members of the CA / Browser Forum in China

As part of the Autumn Meeting, members of the CA / browser Forum in Guangzhou (China), TÜV Trust IT will once again represent the European Conformity Assessment Bodies.

Clemens Wanko, Director of Trust Infrastructure and responsible for the accredited conformity assessment body of TÜV Austria CERT, emphasises the importance of being present at such meetings. “Together for and with our customers and the standardisation bodies (ETSI), we represent the interests of the European trust service providers to the browser manufacturers.”

These are with Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, Apple, Adobe and co. real heavyweights that require a counterpole, says Wanko. eIDAS and ETSI EU Trust Service Providers need to list their root in the root stores of browser manufacturers to provide their customers with convenient access to their services. Mr. Wanko will attend the CA / Browser Forum Meetings on behalf of the ACAB Council, the EU Representation of Accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies.
