3 Questions for… Stefan Möller

Stefan Möller has been procurator and sales manager at TÜV TRUST IT GmbH in Cologne since 2012 and has more than 25 years of experience in sales and project planning for complex IT projects. His current focus is on the sale of consulting projects for the establishment of information security management systems (ISMS).

Since 2021, Stefan Möller has also been Managing Director of Certified Security Operation Center GmbH, whose Operations Center as a Service (SOCaaS) monitors and protects customers’ IT systems with regard to possible cyber attacks.

We get to ask him 3 questions today:

1. Question: What do you like best about your job?

Clearly, I love the direct contact with our prospects and clients. It’s a great thing to identify an exciting topic during an initial conversation with a prospect, which you then get into more deeply with the client. The fascination lies in always getting to know new companies and people who all think differently. The topics we deal with are also diverse in terms of their design and the variety of solutions they offer. That, in turn, is what makes our portfolio special, because there is no “off the peg” approach to a solution here, but always individually adapted to the client. The combination of different companies, people, problems and their solutions is what makes sales at TRUST fun for me.

2. Question: Which USP does TÜV TRUST IT have from your point of view? / What distinguishes the company from others in the industry?

If you have been in this business for a while, you will notice that the security industry, like the IT industry, is run and understood by many market participants as a “mainstream business”. Often, new sales markets and business models are desperately seeked without any real innovations behind them. This is a pity and not appropriate for the topic of information security.

This is exactly where TÜV TRUST IT differs from many other providers in our sector. Our solutions are very individual and dynamic. The auditors and consultants who design and continuously develop them at the customer’s site are passionate about what they do. As a result, the client perceives us as very authentic and refreshing. Especially tasks in the KRITIS sector must be approached dynamically and excitingly in cooperation with the customer so that the customer’s employees can accompany and live them. Only in this way can information security projects be created that are also highly effective and efficient. This is exactly what we are incredibly good at and what sets us apart from other companies in the sector.

3. Question: What would you tell an applicant why to choose TÜV TRUST IT?

I would tell him not to waste any time and to have an informal conversation with one of my colleagues, independent of an application. Over a cup of coffee, it will quickly become clear that we have really cool topics, exciting projects, a super free working atmosphere and great development opportunities. In a direct interview, every applicant will feel that this is not just something that is said, because the interview partner is guaranteed to radiate enthusiasm. It doesn’t matter whether the applicant is talking to an “old hand” or a “junior consultant”. With us, you can follow a path for a good cause that is not only successful, but also a lot of fun.
