After a comprehensive audit by the TÜV TRUST IT GmbH, TÜV AUSTRIA Group, the application “TeleControlNet” receives its second certification.
Inter Act B.V. has been a successful industrial automation and system integrator throughout Europe for more than 30 years. With its focus on industrial applications using web and cloud-based technologies in 2000, the company then concentrated on expanding its portfolio of “smart” applications, which resulted in the universal IoT suite SaaS “TeleControlNet”, among others. This intelligent industrial solution enables the remote handling of operational processes and entire production sites, as well as the creation of management processes for remote production sites. It also offers cloud-based remote process engineering and benchmarking of remote processes.
In autumn last year, the Edge Controller as a component of TeleControlNet already received certification as a “Trusted IoT Device” by the TÜV TRUST IT GmbH, TÜV AUSTRIA Group. Now Inter Act B.V. has achieved a further success with the certification of its application as a “TÜV Trusted Application”, which was also supervised by TÜV TRUST IT as in the previous year.
TÜV TRUST IT certifies TeleControlNet a high level of quality and security
Stefan Möller from TÜV TRUST IT explains the benefit of this new certification for the app’s developer: “IoT applications like TeleControlNet are popular targets for hacker attacks. Especially in the area of industrial applications, such an attack can lead not only to data loss, but also to massive damage due to production downtimes. This would in turn result in a severe loss of reputation for the provider of the hacked application. The certification as a Trusted Application proves that TeleControlNet meets the high level of security required for its use.”
Within the audit, checks were carried out in the categories of IT security, operation and data protection management on the basis of the “Trusted Application” requirements catalogue, which led to positive results in all cases. In addition to an internal and external technical audit, the control of relevant organisational processes for the administration of the application and its infrastructure is necessary for a successful certification.
