Application “NOVENTI SIGN” successfully recertified

Application from the myYOLO division of NOVENTI HealthCare GmbH once again demonstrates high information and data security.

NOVENTI HealthCare GmbH, the national market leader in the field of billing for healthcare organisations, attaches great importance to the continuous further development of its innovative products. It recently commissioned the TÜV TRUST IT GmbH, TÜV AUSTRIA Group to carry out a technical security audit of its “NOVENTI SIGN” application in order to re-certify its information and data security. This application enables digital signatures via an online-enabled end device. Although communication via the internet is essential, it is also susceptible to cyber attacks. TÜV TRUST IT developed the “Trusted Devices” certification to provide users of such applications with guidance on data security and protection mechanisms. The certification test is based on a specially developed catalogue of requirements based on ISO/IEC standards, TÜV TRUST IT’s experience and other proven best practices in IT security. “NOVENTI SIGN” from the NOVENTI myYOLO business unit was certified according to “Trusted Devices” for the first time in 2019.

NOVENTI SIGN passes extensive audit with flying colours

As part of the technical security review, NOVENTI SIGN completed an extensive audit, which included an external analysis of the infrastructure and services as well as an analysis of the application as an authorised and unauthorised user. An internal analysis of the infrastructure was also carried out. The audit was completed with a very positive result overall and NOVENTI SIGN was subsequently certified according to “Trusted Devises”. TÜV TRUST IT rated the application’s security architecture as extremely robust and secure, which gave the experts great pleasure in carrying out the penetration test.

Those responsible at NOVENTI HealthCare GmbH were not only pleased with the extremely positive result, but also emphasised the good cooperation, as Holger Lerch, Business Unit Manager of NOVENTI myYOLO, emphasised: “Throughout the entire project, there was very open communication and a cooperative partnership between our project managers and TÜV TRUST IT. In this respect, this was certainly not our last joint project.”

“It is great to see how customers are implementing proven technical measures and standards to secure their applications in order to ensure the integrity and security of the application and prevent potential security breaches,” praises project manager Marius Rudat from TÜV TRUST IT. “I am already looking forward to future tests of applications that fulfil these security standards at NOVENTI HealthCare GmbH.”
